Leading curriculum development compassionately in challenging times

WEBINAR: Supporting compassionate leadership & curriculum development through peer review

Professor Barry Carpenter will be our guest speaker in the first of our termly National SPP interactive meetings on 2nd December, 4pm – 5.30pm: Recovery Curriculum: Supporting compassionate leadership and curriculum development in disrupted times.

This 90-minute virtual meeting is designed for all school leaders interested in relationship-based approaches to leading their school communities compassionately in challenging times – please join us whether you are part of the Schools Partnership Programme community or not!

Together, we will discuss and explore the five levers of Barry Carpenter's Recovery Curriculum, and how peer support and collaboration for teachers and leaders may be more important now than ever before:

+ Establishing and maintaining relationships

+ Respecting and building on links with the local community

+ A ‘transparent curriculum’ that encourages students to address gaps in their learning

+ Metacognition – concentrating on developing skills for learning

+ Allowing space, both physical and mental, for self-discovery
