"Relationships definitely strengthened as a result."
SPP Associate Pam Butterfield interviews Pip Utting, Head Teacher at Burlington Junior School, New Malden.
Pip Utting discusses how the collaborative approaches and the trust her partnership have developed through the Schools Partnership Programme has helped them to work through challenges together, and made them more comfortable with being open, and discussing situations in their own schools with each other.
“As a group of schools, we had begun to talk about school improvement, but we hadn't quite gone down that road. For us, the Schools Partnership Programme came at just the right time for us to be able to crystallize our thinking with that, and move us further down the road."
Come September she sees the model as being able to support their recovery process, with a focus on wellbeing, recovery curriculum, and closing those gaps.
