Collaborative culture workshop
For the first time, sector leaders in peer review, Education Development Trust, are offering a standalone workshop, delivered by Schools Partnership Programme Associates to help cultivate a culture of collaboration and supportive peer review within a school.
We’ve worked with hundreds of school and system leaders around the country over this challenging year, hearing and seeing how honest self and peer review within a trusted group of colleagues - with similar lived experience - is really helping them understand the gains as well as the losses resulting from the pandemic.
As you look toward the future and recalibrate, we hope the SPP collaborative culture workshop will be an accessible way to help you reinvigorate ownership and agency in your team, collectively build a climate of trust, support and lateral accountability, and set you on a sustainable path to recovery.
In the workshop, we will be:
+ exploring the research base – why collaborate?
+ exploring Education Development Trust and SPP knowledge and experience - how do we collaborate and what have we learned?
+ gaining insight into peer review as a ‘sticky vehicle’ (link to our underpinning research page) to change culture, with an overview of effective peer review, its key components and core principles; risks and opportunities
+ reviewing and developing the knowledge, skills and competencies of your team to model and support collaborative school improvement as THE approach to improvement across the school
+ developing new ways of working to support and strengthen the practice of collaboration across the school together with a plan to put this in place
The SPP collaborative culture workshop is based on research evidence and the team’s ongoing work and collaboration with almost 2,000 school and system leaders. It can be adapted to work with school leadership teams, enabling them to cascade learning, or direct to all school staff, as required. Delivered in three, two-hour live online sessions, we recommend it be woven into existing staff meetings.
Total price: £1,350 + VAT, delivered by an SPP Associate, flexible 6 hour live online workshop plus pre workshop consultation and post workshop debrief.
