Heads at Home series

We've heard of all the good practice going on between schools across the country and we wanted to provide a platform for you to share your practice highlights, successes and challenges. So we've created the Heads at Home series. This series of sessions provides an informal forum for all colleagues in all settings to discuss current issues and hot topics within schools right now and how a collaborative approach to school improvement is having a positive impact.

Theme: Pupil behaviour systems and the Sibsey Scale

Thanks to all who attend this session. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on all schools and staff alike, and this has sometimes presented itself as challenging behaviour. But even without the added disruption of a global pandemic, pupil behaviour is often a talking point in any staffroom.

We were delighted to have Graeme Wright, Headteacher of Sibsey Free Primary School in Boston, Lincolnshire, join us to share his experience, resources and values system in place to support a positive behaviour culture in his school.

Laura Stagg, Senior Education Adviser for Education Development Trust, was also on hand to inform schools of the provisions available through the Behaviour Hubs.
